Lehi (לֶּחִי, lechiy). A place in Judah where the Philistines assembled to capture Samson (Judg 15:9, 14, 19).

At Lehi, Samson used the jawbone of a donkey to strike down the Philistines (Judg 15:14–15). Judges also refers to Lehi as Ramath-lehi, “hill of the jawbone” (Judg 15:16). Lehi is possibly mentioned later in the Bible in connection with a victory won by Shammah, one of David’s mighty men (2 Sam 23:11), though not all translations treat it as a proper name there.
